Well, there really was no transaction. She didn't have the book anymore, and so she couldn't sell it to me after all. She did get back to me about it very quickly, though, and was friendly about the whole thing, which, I guess, is nice. | ||
excellent review of the scientific work motivation literatur Pinder provides an excellent overview of major and minor psychological theories on work motivation. Popular theories, such as Maslow's need hierarchy, are covered as well as minor theories on which little research has been conducted yet. The book is definitely useful for Psychology and Organizational Behavior students, but it is pretty in depth and not application oriented enough to be all that valuable for managers and HR practicioners. | ||
