Modern ac drives: explaining the practical aspects Looking for a book about AC Drives written for technicians without mathematical background, I came up with this one. This text is clearly the result of an experienced engineer who tries to explain the fundamentals of modern driving technology in human language. Due to this attempt, mathematics had to be reduced to a minimum and most fundamental principles about electrical motors and driving technology have to be accepted as they are. Unfortunately, if you want to know why and how it happens, this book may not be the right choice. On the contrary, if you are purchasing a text with rule of thumbs, back of the envelope type calculations and practical aspects on motors and drives (AC & DC), this book deserves to be considered. A strong emphasis lies on the energy saving aspect of modern AC drives which is very important for all technicians using these drives. If there was an SI version of this text, I'd recommend it also to my colleagues/customers in Europe. | ||
