great book The text is an excellent introduction to the world of civil engineering from a systems perspective. The goal is to introduce the tools and methods of systems analysis for the civil or environmental engineer. Applications are provided to illustrate the concepts. Very well done from start to finish.
I've seen better This was the text book I used my senior year in college for an wastewater engineering class. The reading material does not explain the subject and the example problems included in the chapters are not useful. The questions at the end of the chapters are excellent test material but can not be solved by understanding the material within the chapter.
