My teacher at MIT lectured right out of this book! This book is clearly written and really explains the theory behind what is going on. Lerman uses examples everywhere that really help bring the abstract notions of programming down to earth. It's a great book for those just learning C, and a decent book for those who are already familiar with C but have a little more to learn.
