Product Description

Analysis and Design of Energy Systems is a readable, self-contained (data, properties), computer based and applications oriented book. It includes a large number of realistic examples and problems, with an emphasis on problem formulation and solution, not programming, and on component details. Topics are developed from the basics; the contents are useful and practical; first-order details are provided; and problem solution tactics and strategies are discussed. This edition includes MathCad as the arithmetic engine, and Math Cad worksheets are included for every procedure in the book. Useful for practicing engineers as a reference book, particularly for reference for piping systems, pumps, and heat exchangers.

Reviews

2nd - 3rd year Engineering Students
The book uses the fundamentals gained from Fluid Dynamics and build a more detailed / specific case on System Engineering, Series and Parallel systems, and also incorporate components within the system and their designs. ie. Heat exchanger sizing and heat transfer calculations.

This is ideal for the engineer who enters into the world of process engineering.

Very Nice
I strongly recommend both the book and the seller. The seller was very prompt in getting the book to me before I started my classes. The book was in excellent condition and just as advertised. The book itself is wonderful because it gives very thorough examples worked out in MathCad.

EXCELLENT BOOK
I used this book for my Thermodynamics III course and I can tell you : This is an excellent book!! It will show you step by step how to solve the problems included in the book. Since most of the problems use iterative procedures like hardy-cross method you will need to use some sort of mathematical package to solve them. The book includes sub-routines from MathCad that will help you with most of the problems. Be aware that some sub-routines will not work in the newer versions of mathcad packages; if you can use an older one, it will be better.
