An excellent text on tribology! This text is a well-balanced treatment of the very complex topic of tribology. It is very difficult to cover the subject as so many disciplines are involved and so much expertise is required. Dr. Ludema has done an excellent job of pulling the many views of friction and wear together in one non-threatening book. Although the text is a bit light on chemistry, the author definitely conveys the importance of the science to tribology. The section on friction and wear testing should be required reading for all new tribologists and lubrication engineers. | ||
