Review of International Books My rating is for the vendor, not the Item which is a great book. It was my first experience with International Books and it was awful. I never received the book within or outside the alloted time and never received a note to explain the delay or cancel the order. Furthermore when I inquired, I received a lie as an answer telling me that the post office takes 21 days to deliver | ||
A well written text I like the many graphs, examples and diagrams. The only thing I really object to is that it appears to be a course work text and expecting anyone (first time) to take in this amount of information in a short time like a semester course would be troubling. There are parts here that are full year courses or longer. My estimate is that the book could be used for four semester courses in a fair manner. The object of education has to be to educate the student, not kill him with homework... breaking good students should be frowned upon! The text is also a very good reference book, but lacks what I would call "full exposure" to axiomatic proofs. | ||
Not very user friendly. I was using this book for online course work and found it very hard to follow and that there were not enough examples to properly explain the different subjects. | ||
Excellent! This is a useful book for anyone involved in mathematics. This book has many practice problems as well as solutions. It also contains many problems that pertain to everyday life at home or office. This book is a must for any high school student wanting to get a head start on the college mathematics. This book reads very well, and contains excellent drawings to enhance the comprehension of the topics discussed. | ||
