Life Changing, Inspiring This is an early candidate for being one of the best and most helpful books I have read this year. Chip Ingram explain that Great Christians Read Great books, live pure lives, take great (calculated and prayerful) risks, think great thoughts, pray great prayers, enjoy great moments, develop great habits, dream great dreams, and and pursue great people. Along the way, Ingram shares inspiring stories from his life and from the lives of others. But what is best about this book is that it is deeply anchored in Scripture. Many books under the caption "Christian Living" are more about living than they are about Christ. This is to say that they present powerful principles, but they do not stem from a proper understanding of what God is saying in a salient text. This book is an exception. This is the kind of book I will probably return to year after year for inspiration, guidance, and encouragement. It is also a challenging book. Highly recommended. | ||
Very nice! I've just read the first chapter of this book, and after glancing at the reviews I noticed one that had only one star and decided to see what in the world was going on! Connie simply did not get the underlying point, and substantially motivating issues that Chip Ingram is trying to tackle. Just by the first chapter, "Think Great Thoughts," I've noticed this book is going to be well worth the read. Recommended! For any spiritual activist! I encourage Connie to re-read the great news this book has to offer! | ||
Super book on spiritual growth Sometimes the tendency for Christians is to be humble to the point of mediocrity. We are almost ashamed to think and dream big, even for the sake of our role as a servent of Christ, so as not to "think too highly of ourselves". Chip Ingram does a great job of dispelling that belief through the use of sound logic, testimonials and scripture. We can and should be thinking and doing great things for the kingdom of God. Super book that helps to take you to the next level in your walk with the Lord. | ||

Great Bood For Deepening Your Relationship With God This is a great book for any Christian who is serious about deepening your walk with Christ. The questions at the end of each chapter lend itself for great discussion and easy homework for small groups or Bible studies. The first chapter lays the foundation for the book as it describes how our struggles in life begin in the mind and how we are to measure all things up against Philippians 4:8.
