4 stars due to a major inconvenience This book is one of the best in the field of GI/Liver Pathology. However, there is a major inconvenience, for which I removed one star from an otherwise perfect score. The inconvenience is caused by deliberate omission of the references in the end of each chapter. This causes a lot of frustration to readers who wish to explore the originating articles. I sincerely hope they would change this in the next release.
The must for GI-liver pathology This book is awesome. I really enjoy reading it. Updated details and all summary tables are very helpful. Also you will love the online version. Pictures and references are also available online. You can even get the full-text articles from references online. Is that great? Imagine, having access to all those selected articles for free!!!
One of the most complete reference GI pathology texts out there. Personally, I have found this book to be one of the most complete and comprehensive GI pathology textbooks out there on the market now. I love it because it also covers the liver, pancreas and biliary tract, making it the prefect one-stop, one volume GI textbook. I will say that at times the pictures are not the largest but the quality is excellent....just my thoughts.

A must-have for all pathology residents and practicing pathologists Everything you need to know about gastrointestinal pathology is in this book and it's really complete. Every entity is discussed from the most common to the rarest ones and accompanied by representative pictures. The differential diagnosis is well discussed and in this regards, lots of tables have been added from the previous edition. You just can't go wrong with this book as a pathology resident, gastrointestinal fellow or practicing pathologist. The fact that you can access the text, references and images online is awesome!
