Amazing book on type! Extremely in-depth. Extremely well written book, with easy to understand illustrations of all the concepts, plus tons of examples, this may be one of the best books on the market on typography. The details are plenty and explained properly, but without making it hard to read. It's also beautifully laid out, with examples of really good typography in the chapter titles and body text. If you want a book for typography, this is the one, beginners and die-hards together.

Typography Workbook What a wonderful book now when my professor is talking typography lingo I am beginning to understand and it has great examples of typographic work. I highly recommend this book.
All you need... ... to know about Type in an easy and comprehensive way lies on these pages. I own this book for almost a year and each time i flip it's pages I'm still amazed. Sure it looks kind of basic and introductory to the world of type, but as I said in the beginning: This is all you really need. Once you buy this book the rest of them will be sort of "been there, done that"
a real treat I highly recommend all of Timothy Samara's books for budding designers to keep on their bookshelf.
